WAPATO, Wash. -- KIMA learned the man found shot to death near Wapato wednesday had an extensive criminal history and was a registered level 2 sex offender.
Alan Moses pleaded guilty to third degree rape back in 1998 when he was 20 years old.
Moses was arrested by Toppenish Police, though details of the case are still limited.
The Toppenish man was found dead with two gunshots to the head near an Orchard along Kays Road.
His death has been ruled a homicide, according to the Yakima County Coroner.
This discovery came after a shooting on the Yakama Nation that sent someone to the hospital. The FBI is investigating whether there's a connection between the two.
The victim in that case also suffered gunshots to the head and is recovering at a Lower Valley hospital.
Moses also had a long criminal history that included assault, theft and burglary convictions.
KIMA reached out to Moses' family but they declined to comment. ..Source.. by Alan Moses
